Jón Þór Sigurvinsson hired as Head of Corporate Finance at Arctica Finance
Jón Þór Sigurvinsson has been hired as Head of Corporate Finance at Arctica Finance. Up until now Stefán Þór Bjarnason has served as both Head of Corporate Finance and the company‘s CEO.
Jón Þór is one of the founders of Arctica Finance and has over 14 years of experience in Finance. Jón Þór has led or participated in many of the larger corporate finance deals in Iceland in recent years.
Jón Þór was employed by Landsbankinn‘s Corporate Advisory from 2007-2008. From 2005-2007 Jón Þór was employed by the Investment firm Straumborg, where he was responsible for the firm‘s investments in the energy sector in addition to managing proprietary trading. From 2004-2005 Jón Þór was employed by the National Nuclear Energy Association of France, CEA.
Jón Þór holds an M.Sc. degree in Energy Engineering from Université Joseph Fourier in France, a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical- and Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Iceland, as well as being a certified securities broker in Iceland.
