
A private equity fund managed by Alfa Framtak has reached an agreement to invest in the software company Tixly. Tixly is an Icelandic company that specializes in ticketing solutions for event organizers such as cultural and event venues. The company has grown significantly in recent years and now operates in twelve countries, including Norway, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The company operates under the brand name Tix in Iceland and was founded in 2014. The CEO of the company is Hrefna Sif Jónsdóttir, and the company employs a total of 46 people.
Alfa Framtak’s investment in Tixly consists of purchasing shares from a shareholder as well as providing financing intended to support the company’s international growth plans. The key shareholders of Tixly after the transaction will be, alongside Alfa Framtak’s fund, Sindri Már Finnbogason and Björn Steinar Árnason, who are also the company’s founders, along with several of the company’s key employees.
