Information

According to Icelandic Act no. 140/2018, on Measures Against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, Arctica Finance is obligated to apply customer due diligence measures.
According to Icelandic law, financial undertakings, such as Arctica Finance, are to classify clients according to their experience and expertise.
This risk analysis provides a summary of the main types of financial instruments and the risks involved in investing in them. The list is not exhaustive and other factors than those mentioned here can affect the value of the financial instrument in question.
Arctica Finance is obliged, on the basis of the Income Tax Act, to provide the Iceland Revenue and Customs with a variety of information, including to annually submit information on the income and assets of US taxpayers with reference to the US tax law (e. US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act - FATCA), as well as to provide information on other foreign taxpayers based on the CRS standard on the exchange of information on financial information (e. Common Reporting Standard).

Rules

Arctica Finance has established rules for the execution of orders. The rules are intended to support Arctica Finance to find all possible ways to achieve the best possible result for its clients when executing their orders and specify the trading venues (markets) on which Arctica Finance executes its clients' orders.
Avoiding conflicts of interest is part of providing the best services possible. Having employees within different divisions performing their work in separate area, is in practice the most efficient way to avoid conflicts of interest.
Arctica Finance has issued rules on the basis of laws and the rules of the Financial Supervisory Authority, wherein key employees are listed as well as the rules stating what Arctica Finance demands of its key employees, which is stricter than the demands placed on other employees.
Arctica Finance has issued rules in accordance with Act on Financial Undertakings on handling of information on clients. Those rules state how information is to be communicated to internal audit, supervisory authorities and the police, and how supervision of the implementation of the rules is arranged.
Arctica Finance has issued rules on the basis of Act on Financial Undertakings and Act on Securities Transactions, with reference to regulation on investor protection and the business conduct of financial undertakings, on employees' securities transactions.

Arctica Finance has adopted a policy on sustainability and social responsibility with reference to the act on financial undertakings, the act on equal treatment on the labour market, and the act of equal status and equal rights irrespective of gender.

Examples of Costs

According to law, Arctica Finance “shall have available aggregated information about all costs and charges”. For this purpose, Arctica Finance, among other things, makes here available a cost guide so that clients can understand the total costs and the impact on the return on investment when buying shares, bonds, in specialized funds and for asset management services. For simplicity, no return is calculated during the investment period in the examples.
