Alfa Framtak invests in hotels

Alfa Framtak has agreed to acquire a 100% stake in Hótel Umi in South Iceland, with the final transaction subject to the approval of the Icelandic Competition Authority. The investment is made through the fund Umbreyting II slhf. and the holding company AU 23 ehf. Alfa Framtak recently also acquired a 100% stake in Hótel Höfn and a 50% stake in Hótel Hamri.

“The fund is considering additional hotel projects, as Alfa Framtak believes the long-term outlook for the tourism industry is positive.” states Alfa Framtak in a press release.

“Tourism is a foundational industry in Iceland, uniquely creating diverse direct and indirect jobs across the country. Alfa Framtak believes the long-term outlook is strong, and the industry requires investment to meet the significant demand to visit our country.”

Arctica Finance advised Alfa Framtak in connection with the transaction.
